Parade Volunteer Descriptions:
Position: Check-In
Location: The intersection of North 3rd Street and North Brevard Ave.
Job Description: Check-in all floats and guests that arrive for the parade. Ensure that we have an accurate list of participants and that each participant has provided a brief description of who / what they are. Additionally, work with the staging volunteers to ensure that we have an accurate order list for the announcer prior to start of the parade. There will be a table and chairs provided for this area.
Position: Staging
Location: Along North Brevard Ave, between North 3rd Street and North 4th Street.
Job Description: After participants have checked in at the check-in table, staging volunteers will position groups along N. Brevard Ave in the order they will be stepping off for the parade. Additionally, work with the check-in table to ensure we get an accurate parade order to the announcer prior to the start of the parade.
Position: Barrier Control
Locations: Two volunteers in front of the Cocoa Beach Library, one volunteer at the intersection of North 4th Street and Woodland Ave (just south of the Post Office), and one volunteer at the intersection of North 4th Street and North Brevard Ave.

Helping to direct traffic so that vehicles do not inadvertently drive around or past the barriers. These barriers help keep the staging area for walking groups safe, and are provided and set up by the Cocoa Beach Department of Public Works.
